King of Prism Playstation VR game project announced at Tokyo Game Show 2016

Official site

It was announced the 15th September, first day of TGS2016. Game is titled “VRフォトセッション from KING OF PRISM by PrettyRhythm” and a demo is currently playable at the VR game corner of TGS2016. It will release next spring (early 2017) on Playstation VR, and this winter(2016) on iOS and Android.

Seems it’s being developed by a company called CS-REPORTERS.INC.

The game’s story is about how a pro cameraman (the player) was commissioned by Edel Rose to take pictures of Over The Rainbow for a photo collection of the group. It’ll be released at the same time as a photo collection of Schwarz Rose, and you must help Edel Rose sell more than it’s rival. The Prism Star cadet Shin also joins in. You must guide Over The Rainbow to victory with your photography skills!
This is pretty funny and sounds like something PR director would write.

Currently confirmed characters in the game are Hiro Kouji Kazuki and Shin.

prad6-vr-game-logo-vr-photo-session-from-king-of-prism-by-prettyrhythm-event-logo

They also announced a handshake&photo meet event to celebrate the game’s announcement. The event is titled “握手会&撮影会 from KING OF PRISM by PrettyRhythm” and this is the logo. Event will be this fall, they haven’t given out an actual date yet.

“Either Hiro, Kouji, Kazuki or Shin will gently escort you on stage, just the two of you, and do a Prism Jump! This is real?! You will also be able to take a photo together thanks to Chroma Key synthesis, it will be a handshake event of a new era”
Judging from this, seems they won’t add any other character but not loosing hope.

They’ll use the VR game and tech to try and do a handshake event with the characters themselves, the seiyuus won’t be present. I guess this will be another thing the Pretty Rhythm franchise is the 1st to do? Or at least to popularize. Ouenjoueis weren’t invented by Pretty Rhythm, and some of the staff said they may have been inspired by Nanoha movie screening concerts, but I’m sure tons of other movies will do ouenjoueis too after seeing how Kinpri became a social phenomenon partly thanks to them. If this VR handshake event is successful I’m sure other franchise will start doing it too.

Gotta say I definitely didn’t see this coming. I haven’t seen this in any english written news sites, so when I saw pics of it on twitter, I didn’t bother reading about it. Just thought it was some kind of VR tech demo collab with Kinpri at TGS.  It’s an actual game project!!!

It’s kinda weird Crunchyroll or ANN haven’t reported about it yet. But I guess if PR related things were covered enough in English speaking media to satisfy me, I wouldn’t do these posts in the 1st place. Crunchyroll especially has been keeping good track of Pretty Rhythm news ever since Kinpri started and the franchise getting much more popular, so it’s weird. I kinda wish some English news site would report about it because I have trouble believing what I’m reading and wondering if I may be wrong. We’re getting an actual Pretty Rhythm console game!!! This is super big news!!!  Even if it’ll probably turn out to be a take pictures game with minimal gameplay. If they add more characters, or even the girls too it’ll be really great. Really looking forward to how this will turn out.

I don’t think I’ll spend hundreds for a Playstation VR just for one game though. Kinpri VR is the only game I 100% want to try so far. There’s stuff like Summer Lesson and Argyle Shift that seems interesting to me, but I’m waiting to see how they’ll turn out at release. I don’t really believe in Playstation VR or Oculus Rift stuff, and everything I’ve seen of it so far doesn’t interest me. Waiting to see if it’ll get any genuinely interesting games and how the games will be gameplay wise etc.

Game footage.

You can find more pics of the game here.

KING OF PRISM -PRIDE the HERO- movie announced for June 2017

prad6-otr-september-11-event-king-of-prism-pride-the-hero

Was announced at the end of the KING OF PRISM Over The Rainbow SPECIAL THANKS PARTY on September 11 2016. It’ scheduled for June 2017, no specified day yet. It’ll premiere in Wald 9, the same cinema Kinpri 1 debuted at.

Announcement on the official site is here. It doesn’t say anything else. There’s no preview video yet either.

I’m super happy and really hyped, but also kinda disappointed because I definitely thought they would first do a 1 cour late night TV anime for January 2017, and then a movie for June 2017. Guess I was too optimistic. And maybe director is too busy with Fairuru.

Because unless the movie is 2hours long I don’t think they’ll have the time to put in CG performances for each Edel Rose boy with their personal song, so that’s why I thought they’d make a TV anime at first to show them.

Every Pretty Rhythm series has their time based on real life time. They don’t necessarily happen in the same year, but time flows the same. For example, AD, DMF and RL each take place over a year, and they all aired for a year. Kinpri takes places one year and a half after the end of RL, and it was released one year and a half after RL ended.

So if they had made a tv series in January 2017, normally it should take place one year after Kinpri’s story ended. But by then it would be too far away and maybe Prism King Cup would have already happened since it’s supposed to be soon. So I thought the TV series could have been about flashbacks about what each character did since the end of Kinpri. It would have complemented all the various stories written by Director in magazines. That way they wouldn’t have had to worry about how each episode leads to the next too. It would have been episodic. Maybe we could have even got an episode about Kouji in America. But yeah that’s not happening sadly.

In any case, if the new movie still follow that rule, since it’s releasing in June 2017, one year and a half after Kinpri was released, it means the new movie’s story should also take place one year and a half after Kinpri ended. Which means that it would be even far away so maybe Prism King Cup would have happened already, so I guess they won’t make it happen that far away in time. Or maybe they’ll just say the Prism King Cup still haven’t happened then. If there is indeed a timeskip, maybe some of the characters will change designs again. Maybe they’ll skip the qualifications tournaments for the Prism King Cup and only show the cup itself. Maybe Kouji already came back by then etc.  Lotsof different things can happen. Really excited.

In any case seeing the movie’s subtitle, seems Hiro will play a big part in the story. I still think he’ll sing Happy Naru since he won’t be able to sing Pride at first and want to sing a Kouji song at all costs. Still think Shin will play a big role in making Jin make up with hijiri too.

prad6-king-of-prism-over-the-rainbow-otr-special-thanks-party-september-11-event

Quick summary of the KING OF PRISM Over The Rainbow SPECIAL THANKS PARTY September 11 event: (I’m very busy now so this is just a quick list of what happened. Hopefully if God wills I’ll do a detailed summary with what they said during the talk show in detail, and what the girls’ messages said)

Event was at  Tokyo International Forum, Hall C. They did it twice the same day so more people can go. First at 14:30, called “noon division”, then at 19:00, called “evening division”.

Even was in two halves. First half of the event was an ouenjouei. Second half was a talk show with Over The Rainbow’s seiyuus Kakihara Tetsuya, Maeno Tomoaki and Masuda Toshiki. The Kinpri sequel announcement was at the end of the “noon division”. They probably announced it again at night too. I’m not sure if they said the exact same things during the talk show at noon and at night.

The hall can hold 3000 people and was sold out. Furthermore it was streamed live in 82 cinemas across Japan, and 3 cinemas in Korea. What they call “live viewing”.
Around 20000 people watched the event in total.

Like all the different messages at the previous ouenjoueis, before the movie started there was a new message from the characters at the beginning.

Once the ouenjouei ended, the talk show started. During it they also showed scenes from the movie, with the seiyuus doing them on stage. For example they showed the Tokimeki Cycling jump and the seiyuus appeared on bicycle on stage as well.

In the corner “With love from Obare: cheering message” the 3 seiyuus acting as their characters, gave message of thanks to the audience for supporting them until now etc. It was particularly impressive when Masuda Toshiki screamed BURNING and all the audience screamed BURNING too.

There was also a message from some of the female main characters: Naru/Kato Emiri, An/Serizawa Yuu, Oto/Gotou Saori, Wakana/Uchida Maaya, Rinne/Sakura Ayane. They appeared on screen while the recorded conversation played.(Rinne momentarily came back or something?)

prad6-september-11-girls-message-fanart-tome_kome

Edi: I found this fanart of their message. They were in their Kinpri designs, meaning the message in universe was during/after Kinpri, so yeah seems Rinne really did come back momentarily.

Then the announcement corner started.

Kinpri will participate in the event Anime JAM 2016 the 10th and 11th of December 2016. Announcement on the event’s official site.

Kinpri seiyuus will appear the 10th only, during the “Rock stage”. The five participating seiyuus will be Terashima Junta/Shin, Hatanaka Tasuku/Taiga, Igarashi Masahi/Minato, Nagatsuka Takuma/Leo and Takeuchi Shunsuke/Alec.
Tickets for the event are on sale until 13th September at 23:59 (it kinda sucks for PR fans, they won’t have much time to buy them. It’s a bit weird they announced Kinpri will be at the event 2 days before the ticket sales ends. Maybe it was decided at the last minute.)

Kinpri will get its own web radio show. The podcasts will be published on Hibiki Radio.  Further details like who the radio hosts are will be published later.

prad6-over-the-rainbow-mune-kyun-jump-from-backstage-drama-cd-like-thing-at-the-september-11-event-otr

After these announcements, the seiyuus acted on stage a story written by PR director called “Over the Rainbow mune kyun Jump from backstage”. Basically a drama CD live.

After that they showed a message from Ito/Komatsu Mikako to Kouji. She appeared on screen while the recorded message played. Ito was acting shy and cute and there was warm cheers from the audience (That’s really nice they don’t care about insane fujoshis and did stuff like that. The only girl who didn’t appear is Bell. I guess they didn’t have enough money to pay Tomatsu Haruka too, or maybe she was simply too busy and didn’t have the time to record something.)

Then at the end Kakihara san said “Thank you for supporting Kinpri for such a long time. I hope you will keep cheering us. and they left the stage as if the event ended. But then when they left, a video started on the scren, showing scenes of Kouji Hiro Kazuki from the TV series and how they joined together and made OTR, and scenes from Kinpri and how they separated. And at the end of the movie it said “King Of Prism, New production decided!” KING OF PRISM -PRIDE the HERO-“! Debuts nationwide on June 2017.”

The video they showed got uploaded on Youtube by Avex.

EDIT: The article I translated described the video, so I didn’t actually watch the video until now. There’s some quotes at the end. Some were already in the preview at the end of Kinpri 1. Some are pretty interesting:
“I won’t be able to sing Kouji’s songs anymore?” Obviously said by Hiro.
“I thought he had statuses” The kanji used there is 格/Kaku, so this is definitely Jin speaking. My bet is that’s what he’ll say describing Louis when revealing to the characters he works with him. He’ll say Louis is a bishonene that reminds him of himself when younger and he’s a man of statuses, unlike commoners like Hijiri, Hiro or Kouji.
“This is Norizuki Jin’s way of doing things”. Probably Hiro or Hijiri, commenting on how Jin stole Pride for Louis to use.
“The way you are right now, I don’t want you to sing Pride!” The way the sentence is phrased makes me think this is Kouji speaking. Kouji ends his negative phrases like that. He’s probably speaking to Hiro. Meaning Hiro will do something bad? Maybe Kouji will say he’s disappointed that Hiro’s depressed for not singing Pride and that even if Hiro had the rights to sing it, Kouji wouldn’t like it.
“Hijiri! I have gotten hold of everything!” This is obviously Jin speaking to Hijiri.
“I respected my big brother. I wanted to become like my big brother one day” This is obviously Hijiri speaking about Jin. They’ll finally show a flashback of Hijiri and Jin’s childhood, when Maria died and Hijiri started living with Jin and Kou. This may mean Hijiri started doing Prism Shows competitively because Jin was doing it. This would mean Jin’s inferiority complex toward Hijiri is something he accidentally started up himself. Also this means Jin was nice toward Hijiri when they were kids.

prad6-king-of-prism-pride-the-hero-logo

Then OTR got back on stage with Athletic Core starting to play for the 1st time in the event. They sang together with the audience, doing calls to the audience to sing.

prad6-otr-september-11-event-otr-athletic-core

Then Kakihara san said “‘The next movie will be even more powered up, it’ll be a movie worth of even more encouragements, so please keep supporting us”
Maeno san said “Whether you’ve been supporting us since Pretty Rhythm, or whether you started with Kinpri, I will be happy if you keep supporting us”.
Masuda san said: “If I was to talk with Kazuki’s feelings, it would be that he has hot feelings about the new movie, and how he’ll definitely won’t loose, so please keep supporting us”
And the event ended.

After the event, the official site also announced a new Kinpri Fan Festival, similar to the one that happened some months ago. This time instead of a weekend, it’ll last 6 days, from October 5th to October 10th. It’s called “KING OF PRISM Kinpri Fan Fes Kansha sai in Autumn.”

Washizaki Takeshi who I think was MC’ing the event. Tweeted this pic with the 3 seiyuus once the event ended.

Kinpri Character designer Odeco/Matsuura Mai drew this

CG Director said “look forward to more mind boggling Prism Shows”.

Kato Emiri/Naru tweeted she was happy to see the other Rainbow Live seiyuus again when they recorded the message together.

She also congratulated everyone for the new movie and said she’s looking forward to it.

https://twitter.com/Masuda_Toshiki/status/774958336982691841

Masuda Toshiki/Kazuki posted on his blog how the event was 2hours long of fun, HE GOT TO BURNING,  for the first time in a while, FREEDOM, etc.

Komatsu Mikako/Ito said she was very happy recording the message and Ito was super dere dere cute, and she wonders if Ito’s hair will get even longer in the new movie.

Serizawa Yuu/An hopes An will get screentime in the new movie

This person who often does papercraft of the characters went to the event with a Rinne paper.

https://twitter.com/aobajo/status/774981251610447872

After the event, Director tweeted how they announced the 1st Kinpri movie last year in a room with 200 people and now they announced the sequel in a room with 20 000 people and a miracle really happened.
Also the pamphlet distributed at the event had him saying that if you like Kinpri please also watch the rest of Pretty Rhythm starting with Aurora Dream.

Three weeks since Kinpri was released

Previous post

They published an advertisement for the karaoke, ok to come cosplayed, etc screenings. I really wish I could go to one.

Kinpri hypothetical ratings:

Screens took 30th january 09:00 jp time.
The movie got in the top 100 of the month on Eiga.com. It’s 96th. Not sure what that ranking is though, it just says “access ranking”, so it’s probably how much the movie’s page got loaded on their site.

When it was released the 9th January 2016, the movie was shown in 14 theaters across Japan in total. (a bit more if you count the different rooms that show it inside each theater, though most theaters only show it once per day in one room.)
As of the 30th, the movie is now shown in 9 theaters in total.  For example, バルト11, the only theater showing it in Hiroshima prefecture, had it’s final screening the 29th, which is why there’s no pic of this theater in this daily update. But there’s also a theater in Fukui prefecture who started showing it starting the 30th, so it’s not like the number of screenings is only decreasing.

There’s other theaters which will start screening the movie in February, the full list with the starting dates is the last list on this page.

prad 6 screenings reservations 28 prad 6 screenings reservations 29

It’s the weekend so I can take screens during the day. Screens taken the 30th at 17:28 japanese time, just before the start of the screening at T・ジョイ博多 theater at 17:30. My initial assumptions in the previous post were wrong, the number of reservations of a screening do increase a lot the same day of the screening between early morning and afternoon. Between 09:00 and 17:28, T・ジョイ京都/T joy theater at Kyoto screening reserved seats increased from 16 to 36+, and T・ジョイ博多/T Joy theater at Hatake got full. Then again it’s the weekend.

Also some twitter fan posted about how the 23th and the 24th, Kinpri was the most viewed movie in “mini theaters”. Because the 23rd was the day of the sing along etc screening “I won’t let you sleep tonight” I wrote about in the previous post. There’s also an official tweet about it thanking the fans.

At 10:00 the 30th there was also the エーデルローズ新入生の集い~アンコール~ talk event in United Cinema Toyosu at Tokyo. Fans on twitter posted what came out of it.

Source They revealed the 2nd temporary podium for the Prism King Cup fan election. According to twitter fans: Taiga is still first. Alexander became 2nd. Yukinojou is now 3rd.

Source They also revealed that Louis and Shin have the same birthday, 29th February. And their seiyuus Terashima Junta and Shouta Aoi also have the same birthday, 11th August.

Source Dramatic Love, the movie’s ending song, was supposed to be sang by Shin alone at first, but later decided to make all the new Edel Rose characters sing it.Because of that, they also have version of it with Shin singing alone.

Source Most of the votes for Leo in the Prism King Cup fan election are by older men.

Source When you vote, you can also include a comment. They read some of them at the event. One vote for Yukinojou said “I fell in love with Yuki sama after watching it the 12th time. Even though I didn’t feel anything for him the 11 times before”. Another vote commented on how he’s so manly.

Source When they made Terashima Junta record Dramatic Love, they also recorded him doing the koishita part in a whispering like voice for the “staff’s private use “

Source Terashima’s(Shin) personal entourage told him about Kinpri in summary “We don’t really understand the movie but we understand that it’s fun”.

Source they showed a video message by Shin, Yukinojou and Leo’s seiyuus at the start of the event. People cheered for Leo the most.

Lastly they said “We can’t say details yet but Kinpri isn’t over yet”. Maybe the movie’s “results” are satisfying for Avex. Who knows.

31th Edit. Screens took at 17:30 jp time.

2nd February edit. According to Eiga Kinpri is ranked 90th this week.

Two weeks since Kinpri was released

Previous post

I’m pretty busy sadly so this is short. There’s a few new things I’d like to post about but can’t for now. For example I haven’t checked the 2ch thread again, or interviews and such. Thankfully they’re seiyuu interviews so they shouldn’t say interesting things. I left out the less important things, like how Komatsu Mikako currently have short wave hair like Ito in the movie.

I’m trying to update every day with pics of the reserved seats. It’s only 6 theaters/screenings rooms out of 14~ theaters in total in Japan where the movie is shown, but it can still give a vague idea on how the movie is doing.

Kinpri hypothetical ratings:

It’s been more than two weeks since King Of Prism has been released. In summary I think it’s not doing too well, but there’s still hope.

I’ve never been interested in movie screening ratings and such so it’s my first time searching for some, so I don’t really know where to look. So I just put in king of prism ランキング on google. There’s eiga.com that has ratings.

If I got it right, the rankings on this site are how much the movie got accessed on the site, not how many people went to see it. On the site, the movie isn’t even in the top 100 of this month’s rating. On Oricon, on the week it was released, it wasn’t in the top 10 either. I guess it’s a given as there’s huge things currently, like Star Wars, new James Bond, etc.
If you have some ranking stats please fill me in.

On most movie sites or info sites like Yahoo Japan etc, the movie got a really good score always close to 5/5, and nearly only positive reviews. For example, still on Yahoo Japan, the movie is first in the “user ratings”. However it doesn’t really mean anything as it’s mostly a handful of fans who rated 5/5 and posted positive reviews. Because the movie has the best score but with only around 300 votes, while there’s stuff like Girls Und Panzer movie who’s behind it in 2nd/3rd place, but with more than 2000 votes. The only negative review I spotted is by one guy who says the movie doesn’t feel like PR and is mad. He dares to say that while he’s a filthy peasant who only watched Rainbow Live.

All the screenings with karaoke where you can sing along, come cosplayed, etc, like you can see in this vid, are always full. They’re much longer than regular screenings, because they show RL episodes fully before showing the movie, and there’s breaks for people to meet up and chat and make new friends etc. So you have at least all the regular long time fans going, plus a bunch of newbies.

1452732498819prad6 sing ok screening 23 january seats

For example there was two singing screening the 23rd January, titled “I won’t let you sleep until morning” (one of Hiro’s quotes) that lasted from around 23:45 to 29:05(5am) with almost all seats taken. They were simultaneous, both at Wald9/バルト9 Cinema, one at room 6 and one at room 9.

They showed RL episodes 6,8,18,31,39,45,51, route 4 with the boys from the PP&PR movie, and then the actual Kinpri movie.

Pics like these are from Kinezo.jp, where you can buy tickets in advance for movies. You can select a theater and check how much seats are already reserved for a particular screening.

prad 6 25th january screenings reservations 1prad 6 25th january screenings reservations 2 prad 6 25th january screenings reservations 3 prad 6 25th january screenings reservations 4 prad 6 25th january screenings reservations 5 prad 6 25th january screenings reservations 6

I checked the current state of the seats for all the screenings of the 25th listed on Kinezo and took screenshots, and as you can see, sadly regular screenings currently have much less people. Some are even empty.
As I took these pictures, it’s already the 25th 5am in Japan, so it’s safe to assume no more seats will be reserved anymore. Of course there will be people who will buy tickets directly at the cinemas, but I think Japanese people usually plan things like this in advance and mostly buy advance tickets, so I don’t think it’ll increase by too much. Then again most of them are night screening around 20:00 so there’s still time for reservations to increase a bit more…

Edit the 25th: Took pics at around the same time(26th 6:51am) for the same theaters. So you can compare. For example there’s the 1st pic, the ブルク13 movie’s screening the 26th, there’s more people than the 25th. The two screenings at バルト9 are near full like the 25th, etc. I guess there’s theaters with people constantly going and some with less, just depends of the day. Hopefully it’ll keep up like that and some regular screenings will always be near full.

prad 6 screenings reservations 13 prad 6 screenings reservations 14 prad 6 screenings reservations 15 prad 6 screenings reservations 16 prad 6 screenings reservations 17

Edit the 26th. Screenshots took at  07:00 jp time. As you can see for バルト9 theater, you can’t even access the page with the seats because both screenings are full. It was the theater where the movie premiered and it seems it’s always full or near full. I hope it keeps it like that until the end of all the screenings at the end of March IIRC.
In order to see as accurately as possible how many seats are reserved, the best would be to take the screenshots just before the earliest screening starts(around 12:00 japanese time) but I’m sleeping then(it’s 03:00 my time), and for the night screenings at 19:00 Jp time, I’m at notwork, so can’t take screens.

prad 6 screenings reservations 18 prad 6 screenings reservations 19 prad 6 screenings reservations 20 prad 6 screenings reservations 21 prad 6 screenings reservations 22 prad 6 screenings reservations 23 prad 6 screenings reservations 24

Edit the 28th. Screens took at 29th January 07:30 JP time. Didn’t have internet the 27th so didn’t take pics. バルト9 screenings are full the 29th and the 30th. They even added one additional screening on each day which are also already full. One screening of the 31th is also already full. Keep it up PR fans we can do this!

End of edits

Some hardcore fans like Irua already saw the movie at least 15 times so even them must be tired by now.

Lastly there’s the fact the movie doesn’t have a lot of screenings, and isn’t screened at lots of theaters either. It’s been two weeks now so most theaters showing it only do one screening a day.

All the goods were sold out after the first few days, so they probably restocked them now. Maybe they’re sold out again, I don’t know.

In conclusion I don’t think things are bright. If they get ton of money with the goods, do tons of sing along events and people keep coming, and people buy the bluray when it’s out, in the long run they may get enough money to do the sequel.

I haven’t read every single of PR director’s tweets like I usually do, but I don’t think he or any staff person said anything about how well or not well the movie is doing for now.

If you’re really rich and got money to waste you should make a trip to Japan and go watch the movie. you could even just make an account on Kinezo, and just buy tickets online without actually going.

Masuda Toshiki/Kazuki: The EZ Do Dance scene was nice. Naru chan grown even more cute. Juné sama is cute.

Nagatsuka Takuma/Leo: It’s really exciting and unpredictable, like when rolling a gacha.

Some editor at Animage said it’s good and you can tell how much work was put into it. He’s happy Bell is doing fine. Was impressed how Hiro was pushed off from his happiness peak with what happens in the movie with you know what if you’ve read spoilers. Other magazines said it’s really good etc.

They’re doing talk events too. There was one the 24th, there’s another one the 30th. There should be more later. Too busy to post details sorry.

prad6 prism king cup fan election results as of 15 january

Temporary results of the Prism King fan election as of the 15th January. Remember that it’s new characters only that’s why OTR isn’t in.I’m happy Taiga is winning as he’s the new character I like the most design wise. Can’t really speak personality wise as I haven’t seen the movie. And even then, according to spoilers, the new characters don’t have that much screen time and you don’t learn a lot about them. Maybe we’ll never get to see them do a Prism Show if there’s no sequel…

If you want to spoil yourself there’s a tumblr with a summary of the movie.

Another photo by this twitter person. Was taken at 10:00 at the Baruto9 theater in Shinjuku. The earliest screenings were at 8:30. The sold out goods are different, regardless of whether you consider this photo was taken before or after.

I went through the 2ch thread of the movie

Overall impressions:

Everyone has very good impressions about the movie, including posters who said there were initially scared because of all the new characters, or how it’s fujoshi oriented. The movie is also very funny. One poster said he never laughed that much at the movies before.

Jin’s scenes are all really funny. Some people would like the movie just by seeing him too, he’s really popular.

A lot of people liked Alexander.

One poster said he was the only guy at the screening he went at, but multiple posters said at their screenings it was always around half men half women.

A poster who hasn’t seen any PR season before said it was really good and funny and cool. He went to a Baruto 9 evening screening, it was half men half women. A lot of them were friends and he felt envious of people chatting about the movie. He said it was really funny, especially the Kazuki Vs Alec battle. He really wants to see the sequel, and is worried about whether the sequel will be made, so he’ll go see the movie again.

Another person who haven’t seen any PR before said he really liked it. He wants to watch Rainbow Live now, but is daunted by how it’s “4 times longer than midnight anime these days”. So for now he’ll just go watch the movie again. (Tch. Kids these days who can’t handle a 50 ep series.)

PR director Hishida Masakazu will direct Jewelpet’s successor Riruriru Fairilu. According to this person, Nabeshin directly said in a magazine recently that “Hishida Masakazu is the director”.
PR director is using the pen name 五城桜. Apparently it’s the name of a middle school in his hometown in Sendai. And Aoba Jo(Aoba Castle in sendai) is another of his pen names.  So people on twitter and 2ch figured it out. I’m too lazy and have a cold so don’t wanna to double check if I got the explanation right, but yeah he’s Riruiru Fairyru director 100% sure.
Anyway, some posters on the 2ch thread are saying that since he’s gonna work on Rirurilu, the sequel movie really isn’t planned for now. if Kinpri sequel happens he’ll work on it and Riruriru at the same time.

Spoilers from the 2ch thread to be taken with a grain of salt:

Pretty Rhythm news January 2016, very important Kinpri announcement

prad3 juné xmas 2015 aka3taku

Previous post

I actually haven’t finished this post yet but I really wanted to post the Kinpri news asap, so I cut off the unfinished parts for now.

Edit: I added everything now. If new pvs or info gets released I’ll just edit this post and add them at top. Or make a new post.

In times like these I really wish Pretty Rhythm was more popular so ANN or something would actually do their job instead of me, so I don’t have the pressure of breaking the news to non japanese fans. Well, it’s not like someone died. But still.

Contains actual spoilers for the movie’s end, told by the director himself. I think even if you absolutely detest spoilers It’ll be better if you read it now instead of watchign the movie and getting disappointed.

Pretty Rhythm news November 2015 KING OF PRISM by PrettyRhythm edition

prad6 kinpri announcement poster

Previous post

The thing that hypes me the most on this picture are the skates.

Edit 2 (19 November): They revealed the designs and seiyuus for the Schwartz Rose new characters.

prad6 design Jin

Jin’s new look. Hopefully he’ll also wear the mask again at some point in the movie, maybe it’ll be his stage outfit. Knowing Pretty Rhythm there will surely be an overdramatic hilarious scene with him using that baton. He’ll have some funny gimmick with it for sure. And then like Hiro’s glasses they’ll give out a reason for his obsession with roses, saying his mom would beat him up with roses or whatever. Still voiced by Shinichiro Miki of course.

prad6 design kisaragi louis

Kisaragi Louis

Oh wow so his name is supposed to be Louis. This is more French than Russian, so maybe the thing about him being Russian is wrong. Or maybe Alexander is the Russian one. The earring he wears is a blue pearl like jewel, inside a golden ring.
Louis is voiced by Aoi Shouta, a relatively new seiyuu, though not as new as most of the new characters’. He’s one of the guys in Utapri, and he’s also an actor, he plays the MC in the Persona 3 stage plays.

prad6 design yamato alexander

Yamato Alexander

Gotta admit he doesn’t look bad. It’s not written in the picture itself, but the description on the official site adds that he’s in 1st year of high school, meaning Alexander is younger than Hiro Kazuki and Kouji. I guess it ramps up the chances that he and Louis will be Shin and co rivals, while Jin will be OTR’s rival. Hopefully yes, I want Jin to do a Prism Show. They really did a good job with the new characters designs. Now wait&see for how the actual movie will turn out.
Alexander is voiced by Takeuchi Shunsuke. Just like Shouta Aoi he’s very popular but relatively new, though not as most as the other’ new characters’ seiyuus, and already did main roles before like the producer in Idolxm@s Cinderella Girls, the anime adaptation of the popular wota money mobage milking machine.

Notice that you can see the emblem of Schwartz Rose in the background and on Alec’s uniform:  a black rose with wings and thorns.

Cover for the ROAD to Over The Rainbow ~デビュー2周年記念DVD~. Details related to it are in the post. Notice how they’re holding hands. You couldn’t see it in the poster for the movie.

Cover for the Over The Rainbow Special Fan Disc. Details related to it are in the post. Embarrassed Kazuki is fun.

They also launched a twitter campaign called 【次世代のスターは私だ!プリズム☆フォトコンテスト】 which can be translated as “I’m the next generation’s Prism Star! Prism Photo Contest”. You need to take a picture of the advance tickets for the movie you bought, or other things I think, and post it on twitter using the #キンプリフォト hashtag. The picture needs to “show the feelings of Pretty Rhythm as much as possible”. They’ll choose 3 winning pictures, and the persons who posted them will each get the illustrations used for the tickets in full. (as in like if you got 5 tickets with each of the characters and glued them together)
Campaign starts today the 19th, ends December 20 midnight Japanese time.

They published a new 3minute trailer with nothing new except the narration by Hiro. It’s for newcomers who haven’t seen PR before. They summarize the story of the boys in RL, without spoiling much, so it makes you want to watch the show. The joke with Hiro freaking out at the end is how the video is titled “get everything about OTR in 90 seconds”, and Hiro realizes he went well over that time limit.
The official twitter also tweeted the links to buy the PRRL DVDs after that. I think they want to sell as much dvd as they can before they announce the BD boxes.

prad6 shin dengeki girls MY★STAR vol.4 magazine released 19 november 2015 sample

Lastly, the magazine MY★STAR vol.4 released 19 November 2015 has Kinpri stuff in it. The same info for the Schwartz Rose character they published on the main site the 19th, with a bit more details.
